Don’t mess with Texas. Thats what we’ve learned since we got here. Tour started exactly 24 hours ago when we left FL. The drive up wasn’t too bad considering there was a hurricane shortly behind us, but it feels good to know we wont be there when it hits. The show went awesome and we’re so happy to be out with The Cab, A Rocket To The Moon, and This Providence. Thanks to all you guys for making us feel at home on the road. We were really surprised to see how much Texas loves its state. Probably the most patriotic place I’ve ever been. I definitely loved the waffles too (refer to the picture of my breakfast above). I can see from the response of every person that came out tonight that this is going to be a really good two weeks. Thanks for taking care of us Texas, see you next month, stay fresh.
Just wanted to wish Hey Monday some luck on their show tonight in Kansas! If anyone goes to the show, or any show for that matter, it would be awesome if you could donate some pics to the site!

So, we are leaving in approximately an hour and a half for the "Why So Serious Tour"! First stop.... San Antonio, Texas! We can't wait to play every night and meet all of you that are going. Please don't hesitate coming by our merch table after we play. We'll be there, most likely. If not, we'll be around! So say hi! Thanks to The Cab for bringing us along. :) Also, to all of you who came to our video shoot..... YOU RULE!! We had such a blast with you all. Thanks so much for coming, and going crazy for every single take. :) For everyone who couldn't make it, here is a link to the director, Noah Shulman's, website. Led by powerhouse vocalist Cassadee Pope, Hey Monday lace their infectious emo-pop with alt-rock guitars and slick studio production. The band formed in West Palm Beach, FL, where Pope was first discovered at a regional music conference. Although still in high school, the singer drew attention from A&R execs with her vocals, which often recalled the radio-ready wails of Avril Lavigne and Paramore's Haley Williams. She then formed a band with fellow teenagers Jersey Moriarty (bass), Elliot James (drums), and guitarists Mike Gentile and Alex Lipshaw. Shedding their original name ("Blake") in favor of Hey Monday, the group won over A&R exec Jay Harren, who signed the band to Columbia Records. Hey Monday then entered the recording studio with S*A*M & Sluggo, the production team behind albums by Metro Station and the Academy Is...., and readied the release of their debut record.
